ZenCart Shopping Cart Case Study Review

If you purchased or tested out a cart already could you please take a minute to pass on your experiences by answering these quick questions:

What cart did you test or purchase?

We are now using Zen Cart. Is it as easy as they said it was to setup? It is easy to set up. To get the best results you will need to be able to edit HTML and PHP. You also need to know Flash to get results similar to ours.

How long before you were up and running?

We were up in a few hours, but we have days in all the improvments now implemented.

What is impressing you about the cart or company?

The extreme ability to customize the look and feel. When you go from our main site to the store the look is very similar. Lots of gateways available. Coupons and sales are easy to manange. We use these features to track the success of our promotions.

Where did you have problems?

Editing remotely on the server introduces some testing issues.

Where could the software be improved?

Would like to see integration with Quickbooks.

If you could do it all over what would you do different?

Quickbooks integration from the start would have been nice. But it's still east to get the data out of the store. It's just not a single mouse click, like it should be. Other carts with Quickbooks integration seem to suffer from other limitations.
