StoreFront, VPASP, BVcommerce, and Shopping Cart Hosting
Some shopping carts like
StoreFront
require your host to
support Microsoft's .NET Framework technology. Ask your
web host if they support StoreFront 6 or if they are
already hosting any other StoreFront sites. If a host
does not have experience in hosting StoreFront then you
could have some problems in installation and everyday
operation. So If you are going to choose the
StoreFront
shopping cart I recommend you host with either
Applied
Innovations Hosting
or StoreFront themselves.
GoECart is a "hosted solution" this means that you
never download any software and install it on your
server. Instead your cart is hosted with them. This is
similar to ebay or the Yahoo cart but is cheaper and has
more features that your business will need in the long
run.
SalesCart
offers their own hosting but also is supported by 3rd
party hosts ( both Windows and Unix based ).
This
makes SalesCart a top choice if you are loyal to your
existing web host.
VPASP
is very host friendly
as well. It works on
any Windows host. It
also runs on any Unix/Linux host running
ChilliSoft.

Innovations Hosting.
If you host with a larger
hosting company like Tripod.com, and netsol.com I
recommend you switch to a host that specializes in
ecommerce. These companies simply don't offer the
support levels an ecommerce website needs. They may
offer a basic shopping cart system but more than likely
it does not offer all the features you will need.
